16 Jan
Summary
- Live Now badge for streamers is now available for all users.
- Cashtags allow users to collect conversations about public companies.
- Live Now currently supports Twitch, with other platforms possible later.

Bluesky is now universally offering its "Live Now" badge, a feature previously in limited beta testing since May 2025. This update, part of version v1.114, allows streamers to prominently display a badge on their profiles that links directly to their live broadcasts, currently supporting Twitch streams with potential for other platforms in the future.
Complementing the streamer feature, Bluesky has also implemented "cashtags." This functionality, reminiscent of a former Twitter feature, allows users to create clickable hashtags using a dollar sign followed by a stock ticker symbol. This makes it simple to aggregate and discover discussions pertaining to specific publicly traded companies.
The introduction of these features suggests Bluesky's strategy to attract and retain users by offering functionalities familiar to those migrating from other platforms, particularly X. By focusing on linking content and facilitating topic-based conversations, Bluesky aims to enhance user engagement and community building on its network.
