Summary
- LG C6 achieved the most accurate SDR color with a dE2000 score of 1.84.
- Hisense U8 excelled in HDR color accuracy, scoring 7.73 on dEITP.
- Testing used industry-standard Calman software for color calibration.

Recent tests rigorously evaluated seven flagship televisions from major brands, focusing on their color reproduction capabilities. The evaluation employed industry-standard Calman software, utilized by Hollywood studios, to assess color accuracy in both Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) and High Dynamic Range (HDR) modes. Filmmaker mode was prioritized for its generally superior color accuracy.
The LG C6 stood out for its Standard Dynamic Range performance, achieving the most accurate color with a Delta E 2000 (dE2000) score of 1.84. This metric indicates how well the TV reproduces traditional video formats.
For High Dynamic Range (HDR) content, which offers expanded contrast and color, the Hisense U8 was crowned the winner. It recorded the most accurate color reproduction with a Delta E ITP (dEITP) score of 7.73.
The TCL QM8L received an honorable mention, securing the third-best score in SDR mode and the second-best in HDR. While some models like the Hisense U7 and Sunbrite Veranda had lower scores in Filmmaker mode, they performed better in standard modes, highlighting varied performance across different picture settings.
