5 May
Summary
- A new tablet offers a Google-free experience with /e/OS.
- The device features a 12.6-inch screen with sharp resolution.
- It's a viable privacy-focused alternative to other tablets.
For users seeking a tablet experience free from Google's pervasive tracking, a new option has become available. Murena has launched a tablet preloaded with Android-based /e/OS, developed in partnership with Volla. This collaboration aims to provide a robust privacy-respecting device.
The tablet features a vibrant 12.6-inch screen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, delivering crisp visuals and ample brightness. While not designed for professional graphic work, its display is excellent for watching videos, browsing the web, and performing common office tasks.
This device presents itself as the premier de-Googled tablet on the market. However, potential buyers should note that not all applications will function seamlessly, and there are limited tablet-specific optimizations for /e/OS. Despite these points, it offers significant value for privacy-conscious consumers.
