Planning permission has been granted for a new £40 million innovation hub in Belfast, dedicated to medical technology and digital healthcare. The Centre for Digital Healthcare Technology (CDHT), a Belfast Region City Deal project led by Ulster University, will establish an innovation center and a community living lab.
This new facility on Frederick Street will foster the development of advanced medical technologies. It will integrate expertise in engineering, data science, and clinical practice, with capabilities in areas such as AI, surgical robotics, and diagnostics.
