Beats 360: Sporty Sound Meets Modular Style

Beats has launched the 360 over-ear headphones, priced at $350, positioning them as a hybrid sports model. These headphones feature a modular design with swappable earcup and headband cushions, available in multiple colors for personalization. The IPX4 water-resistance rating is a significant feature for over-ear headphones, offering sweat and splash protection.

Internally, the Beats 360 utilize a custom Beats chip with Bluetooth 5.3, retaining some Apple-exclusive features while improving Android compatibility via the Beats app. Although they lack wired listening options and wear-detection sensors, they provide up to 32 hours of playback time with noise canceling enabled.

The sound quality is highlighted as the best Beats has produced to date, with custom dual-magnet dynamic drivers delivering clean audio and defined bass. Active noise cancellation is significantly improved over previous Beats models, approaching the performance of premium Apple earbuds and headphones.

Voice-calling performance is also top-tier, thanks to an advanced microphone system and AI-trained algorithms that effectively minimize background noise. Despite a few omissions like wired connectivity, the Beats 360 offer a compelling package of sound, durability, and customization for active users.
