Blaze Entertainment has announced the discovery of previously unknown features within the source code of Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. These findings emerged during the development of the Evercade Nexus ports for these classic Nintendo 64 titles.
The company collaborated closely with Rare, the original creators of the games, who supplied the source code. This allowed Blaze's development team to explore the games' foundational programming.
During their investigation, developers unearthed a variety of unreleased content. Among the notable discoveries were unreleased musical tracks and a fully functional level editor. Additionally, several minor unlockable bonuses were identified.
These newly found elements are being integrated into the upcoming Banjo-Kazooie Double Pack for the Evercade Nexus. The console and game bundle are set to launch on October 30, offering fans a chance to experience these classic games with fresh content.
