A modern interpretation of the beloved Game Boy Advance, dubbed the Konkr Pocket Advance, has been revealed. This new handheld aims to capture the essence of the original with a contemporary upgrade. It features a 3.5-inch LCD display that maintains the Game Boy Advance's signature 3:2 aspect ratio, now offering a crisper 960 x 640 resolution.
Beyond the display, the Konkr Pocket Advance incorporates a full set of ABXY buttons, additional menu controls, and extra shoulder buttons. Modern conveniences include a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, a microSD card slot for expandable storage, and integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities. A 3.5mm headphone jack and a volume wheel are also included for an enhanced user experience.
The handheld will be available in two distinct color options: a deep navy, reminiscent of the classic indigo Game Boy Advance, and a vibrant coral orange, echoing the Spice Orange variant. While pricing and a release date have not yet been announced, fans are hopeful for a wider production run compared to previous limited releases.
