Asus Kithara: $299 Headset Sounds Amazing, But...

The Asus ROG Kithara gaming headset aims for audiophile-grade sound, priced at $299. It features 100mm planar magnetic drivers, typically found in high-end headphones, delivering nuanced, spatial, and clear audio across various games and platforms. The open-back design enhances comfort and awareness, though it lacks active noise cancellation.

The headset's microphone also performs well, providing clear audio for teammates. However, the Kithara's considerable size and wired connectivity, requiring multiple cables and adapters, detract from its convenience. Compatibility with Xbox is also limited due to its lack of native USB-C. Despite these practical drawbacks, the Kithara offers premium build quality and sound that may appeal to dedicated gamers prioritizing audio fidelity.
