Summary
- Asus' ROG Falcata is a split ergonomic keyboard with Hall effect switches
- Limited tenting angles (up to 7 degrees) may not suit all users
- Offers advanced customization options, but $420 price tag is very high

As of November 16th, 2025, Asus has released a unique gaming keyboard called the ROG Falcata that combines Hall effect switches and a split ergonomic design. The Falcata aims to alleviate wrist, hand, or arm pain, but its $419.99 price tag may be a significant barrier for many consumers.
While the Falcata succeeds as a Hall effect board, offering extensive customization options, its ergonomic capabilities are more limited. The keyboard's tenting angles max out at just 7 degrees, which may not provide enough adjustment for users accustomed to higher tenting on split keyboards. This could be a dealbreaker for those seeking maximum wrist and arm relief.
Additionally, the Falcata's halves can only be separated by a maximum of 10 inches, restricting the user's ability to spread their arms as much as they might need. In comparison, the competing Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB Plus offers up to 15 degrees of tenting and a longer 14-inch cable separation.
Despite these ergonomic shortcomings, the Falcata does offer some unique features. Its 75% key layout provides a compact footprint, and the keyboard can operate wired, via Bluetooth, or 2.4GHz wireless. Asus has also included gamer-oriented features like rapid trigger and Speed Tap, which may appeal to competitive players.
