Asteria, an AI firm co-founded by Natasha Lyonne, has unveiled Continuum Suite, a new operating system aimed at enhancing film and television production. This offering from Asteria's research division is designed to create a unified workflow, managing projects from the initial script to the completed production.
The cloud-native system, powered by Amazon Web Services, focuses on improving efficiencies for below-the-line production tasks. It leverages AI tools to expedite processes such as creative development, production coordination, and animated workflows.
Continuum Suite's core is Atlas, an intelligence system that continuously updates information, context, and decisions throughout the filmmaking stages. Upon script upload, it analyzes elements like characters and locations, generating essential documents like call sheets and storyboards.
Notable customers, including the production company Pressman Film, have already adopted the system. Asteria describes Continuum Suite as a growing database and knowledge graph that becomes more robust as a production progresses.
