Apple has officially released its second-generation AirTag, introducing significant upgrades to its item tracking capabilities. The Precision Finding feature now offers up to a 50% greater range, and the speaker has been made 50% louder with a new chime for easier auditory location.
The new AirTag is designed for seamless integration with existing Find My Network features. Users can share tracker access with trusted individuals, and accessories designed for the first-generation model remain fully compatible. The device requires an iPhone with iOS 26 or later to operate.
Available now online and in stores later this week, the second-gen AirTag is priced identically to its predecessor at $29 for a single unit or $99 for a pack of four. Apple also introduced a new Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop accessory to celebrate Black History Month.
