Apple's Foldable iPhone Revealed in iOS 27 Clues

New evidence suggests Apple is actively developing a foldable iPhone, with significant clues embedded within the latest iOS 27 developer beta. Frameworks within the operating system reference specific terms like "foldState" and "angleDegrees," alongside details about multiple displays, strongly indicating preparation for a foldable form factor. These references were notably absent in the previous iOS 26 version.

Further fueling speculation, Apple's recent developer conference highlighted enhanced app resizing capabilities for iPhones on macOS mirroring and iPads. While presented as a feature for existing devices, this move is seen by many as a precursor to introducing a device with a novel form factor. The tech giant is widely expected to unveil its foldable device, possibly the iPhone Fold, in the fall, which would operate on the new iOS 27.

Given the competitive landscape of foldable devices and the detailed access developers have to new operating systems, Apple's preparations are becoming increasingly apparent. The company faces the challenge of concealing such a significant product development. The potential announcement this fall means the foldable iPhone would likely debut with iOS 27, marking a significant shift in Apple's product line.
