- The app now dynamically displays expert commentary based on user data.

Apple has rolled out a beta version of its redesigned Health app to iOS 27.2 developers, with a public release planned for later in 2026. This significant update transforms the app from a mere data repository into an analytical tool.
The beta introduces the Insights tab, offering overviews of sleep, fitness, and readiness metrics, the latter being exclusive to Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4. A new Longevity tab features Health Age, a metric that estimates physiological function relative to chronological age using Apple Watch data. It also includes movement assessments to gauge flexibility, strength, and balance.
Furthermore, the app will dynamically present commentary from health experts, tailored to individual user data. Future updates are expected to bring personalized summary options, recommendations, and the ability to order lab tests from Quest. These enhancements position Apple's Health app and Apple Watch as stronger rivals to platforms like Oura and Whoop, which already leverage AI for data interpretation and personalized feedback.
