Anthropic Unveils Claude Design for AI Visual Creation

Anthropic has introduced Claude Design, an experimental AI-powered product aimed at simplifying visual content creation. This tool allows users to generate diverse visuals, including prototypes, slides, and one-pagers, solely through textual descriptions.

Intended for individuals without formal design training, such as founders and product managers, Claude Design aims to make idea sharing more accessible. Users can describe their desired output, and the AI will produce an initial version, which can subsequently be refined with specific edits or further requests.

While Claude Design shares some functionality with tools like Canva, Anthropic positions it as a complementary product. Its primary focus is on assisting users in rapidly transforming abstract ideas into tangible visual representations, especially when starting from scratch.

This new offering is powered by Claude Opus 4.7 and is currently available in research preview for specific Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers. The launch signifies Anthropic's continued expansion into enterprise and prosumer markets amidst growing competition in AI workplace solutions.

Claude Design can also integrate team-specific design systems, ensuring visual consistency across projects by analyzing company code and design files. This capability allows for the refinement of components and the management of multiple design systems, enhancing brand uniformity.
