A feature-rich AMD mini PC, the GMKtec G11, is available for just $306, significantly undercutting the price of Apple's recently increased Mac Mini costs. This compact desktop comes equipped with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512GB SSD, supporting up to triple 4K displays. It also includes dual 2.5GbE ethernet ports and WiFi 6E connectivity.
The GMKtec G11 utilizes the AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 processor, which offers superior performance compared to typical Intel N150 and 4300U chips found in similar devices. Its integrated Radeon Graphics deliver exceptional 3D performance, supporting native triple 4K output through dual HDMI and a USB-C DisplayPort. This makes it suitable for professional applications like video editing and digital signage.
Enhanced memory bandwidth with dual-channel 16GB DDR4 RAM contributes to smoother multitasking and gaming. The inclusion of dual 2.5GbE ethernet ports elevates its utility, enabling it to function as a powerful home server, NAS, or a dedicated firewall. This capability, combined with its compact size and affordable price, positions it as a compelling alternative for users who do not require macOS-specific software.
