AI Dominates LinkedIn: 41% Posts Generated
12 Jul
Summary
- AI generates 41% of longform LinkedIn posts.
- X and Reddit also show significant AI content.
- Pangram's tool flagged content for the study.

A recent study highlights the pervasive presence of AI-generated content across social media. Pangram's analysis found that 41% of longform posts on LinkedIn are flagged as entirely AI-generated, with short-form content also showing a 30% AI rate on the platform.
Other social networks are also heavily impacted. X (formerly Twitter) reportedly sees 29% of its longform content generated by AI, and 53.2% of articles are not fully human-authored. Reddit's longform content is 13% AI-generated, while Substack shows a 10% rate for its longform posts.
Pangram's data was collected using its Chrome extension, which scans and flags AI-generated content during browsing. This raises questions about authenticity, particularly on professional networking sites like LinkedIn, where users aim to foster genuine career connections.
