Adobe is introducing a significant shift in its creative software strategy with the upcoming Firefly AI Assistant. This new chat-based interface is designed to manage complex, multi-modal projects across various Adobe Creative Cloud applications, orchestrating entire workflows rather than just offering single-feature enhancements.

The Firefly AI Assistant aims to serve a dual purpose: empowering experienced creatives by automating mundane tasks and making creative tools more accessible to inexperienced users. This addresses the growing complexity of creative software that Adobe notes has previously widened the gap between an idea and its final output.

Unlike previous AI integrations within individual apps, the Firefly AI Assistant is built to work cross-application.
