AdGuard VPN is now accessible on Firefox for Android, following the release of version 2.8. This update allows users to install AdGuard VPN as a mobile extension within the Firefox browser, providing data protection, encrypted connections, and location masking directly from their mobile browsing experience.
The new version features UI refinements, including updated icons that help users identify optimal streaming locations for services like Netflix and Disney. This enhancement aims to improve the streaming experience by minimizing buffering and offering clearer choices for viewers.
This expansion to Firefox for Android arrives shortly after AdGuard open-sourced its custom VPN protocol, Trust Tunnel. This protocol is designed to mimic regular web traffic to bypass censorship. The company, based in Cyprus, also recently launched version 2.9 for Windows, which focuses on improved accessibility with features like screen readers, making its privacy solutions more inclusive.
