Zimbabwe eyes upset vs. India in T20 WC showdown

Zimbabwe's T20 World Cup campaign faces a significant test against India, with all-rounder Brad Evans vowing his team will "leave everything out there." This encounter follows a substantial defeat to the West Indies, a result from which Zimbabwe aims to rebound. The match holds critical importance for India's tournament future, which has been jeopardized by a previous loss.

Evans highlighted Zimbabwe's strategic focus on their own execution, acknowledging India as a world-class opponent but emphasizing their internal preparation. He noted that while the team has performed well in the group stage, they are not taking an easy victory for granted against India. The recent loss to the West Indies, where many players experienced their first game in India, provided valuable lessons.

The team is also considering Chennai's pitch conditions, where a slight dew might offer an advantage to chasing teams. Evans expressed confidence in the team's plans to counter various batting strategies, including India's left-handed top order. Squads for both India and Zimbabwe have been announced for the upcoming fixture.
