Wisconsin Lutheran Star's College Choice Heats Up

Wisconsin Lutheran senior Zavier Zens has emerged as a notable late addition to the 2026 college basketball recruiting class. On March 30, Zens requested his release from a National Letter of Intent with Northern Iowa, a move prompted by the departure of head coach Ben Jacobson.

Zens recently completed visits to three prominent programs: Utah State, Illinois, and Wisconsin. His visit to Utah State on April 10 included interactions with former Northern Iowa player Will Hornseth and recruit Jordan Boyd, both of whom also joined the Aggies.

The following day, Zens visited Illinois, a team that recently reached the Final Four. He was impressed by the Illini's player development and facilities, noting their immediate recruitment efforts.

His visits concluded with a trip to Wisconsin, where he reconnected with assistant coaches and players. Zens is now considering these three programs, with a decision expected within the week.
