Garrix Headlines F1 Zandvoort Farewell Party

The final Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort is set to be a momentous occasion, marked by a large celebration featuring renowned DJ Martin Garrix. This event will bid farewell to Formula 1's presence in the Netherlands for the foreseeable future, aiming to provide the race with a memorable send-off.

Fan enthusiasm for Zandvoort's last Grand Prix was exceptionally high, with tickets for Saturday and Sunday selling out by April. Only a limited number of tickets for Super Friday remained available, underscoring the event's popularity.

Max Verstappen, a prominent figure in Dutch motorsport, has expressed his sentiments regarding Zandvoort's forthcoming exit from the Formula 1 calendar. He noted that while F1 races will cease there after 2027, the track itself will remain active for other racing series and track days, ensuring its continued use.

Verstappen emphasized his desire to savor the remaining experience with the fans, praising the efforts made to bring the Grand Prix back and highlighting Zandvoort's role as a benchmark for other host locations. He conveyed that while its departure from F1 is regrettable, the track's persistence offers personal opportunities for continued engagement.

This year's Grand Prix weekend at Zandvoort will also feature a Sprint format. Following a single practice session, Sprint Qualifying will commence on Friday afternoon. The Sprint race and official Qualifying will take place on Saturday, preceding the main Grand Prix on Sunday.

Additionally, the weather forecast for the Zandvoort weekend indicates a possibility of rain and cooler temperatures than typically expected for summer. There is a 40-45% chance of rain on Friday and Saturday, with Sunday potentially offering some sunshine, though temperatures are predicted to reach only 20 degrees Celsius.
