Chahal Caught Smoking, Discards Cigarette

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal is under fire following the viral circulation of a video that appears to show him smoking while driving and discarding the cigarette onto the road. The footage, reportedly captured by another motorist in Mullanpur, near Chandigarh, has drawn sharp criticism online regarding his civic sense.

Many social media users have expressed disappointment, calling the behaviour "disgusting" and "shameful," particularly from someone seen as an inspiration to youth. This incident comes shortly after Chahal, aged 35, shared in an interview that he had stopped consuming alcohol more than six months ago. He stated his intention to prioritize fitness and give his best performance for his team during the IPL 2026 season.
