Yuvraj Singh Apologizes to Dhoni and Kapil for Father's Remarks

Yuvraj Singh has formally apologized to two of India's World Cup-winning captains, Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni, following years of controversial statements made by his father, Yograj Singh. Yograj Singh had frequently accused MS Dhoni of orchestrating Yuvraj's exclusion from the Indian team. He also made serious allegations against Kapil Dev last year, claiming threats and career sabotage from the 1980s.

Yuvraj Singh, in a teaser for an upcoming podcast, indicated his disapproval of his father's remarks, stating he told him, "it's not ok." This public distancing from his father's controversial history addresses a long-standing issue. Notably, Yograj Singh's stance on Dhoni has recently softened, with recent statements expressing admiration.

Despite his father's past grievances, Yuvraj Singh himself had previously revealed Dhoni's supportive role during his 2017 comeback, where Dhoni clarified his future role in the team. This conversation aided Yuvraj in accepting his situation, contributing to his decision to retire from international cricket in 2019.
