The New York Yankees announced that Saturday, June 6's scheduled game against the Boston Red Sox has been postponed. This decision was made because of a forecast predicting sustained inclement weather. The rescheduled game will take place on Saturday, August 29, at Yankee Stadium.
This makeup game will be the first game of a split-admission doubleheader, with a scheduled start time of 1:05 p.m. Fans holding paid tickets for the original June 6 game can use them for this rescheduled contest. Alternatively, they may exchange these tickets for a future regular season game at Yankee Stadium, subject to availability. This exchange must be completed online via the Yankees' rain check policy. Tickets for June 6 are only valid for the 1:05 p.m. game on August 29, not the second game scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
On August 29, Yankee Stadium gates will open at 11:30 a.m. for the first game and approximately 5:30 p.m. for the second. Complimentary tickets and tickets from the Commissioner's Initiative for Kids for the June 6 game are also valid only for the rescheduled game on August 29.
