Wrexham striker Ryan Hardie has joined Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan. Hardie, 29, initially signed with Wrexham for $945,000 from Plymouth Argyle following their promotion to the Championship last year. However, after limited starts and only one goal in 10 appearances for Wrexham, he has moved to Bolton.
This is Hardie's second loan spell in League One, having previously played for Huddersfield Town, where he scored two goals in six appearances before an injury. Bolton, having recently earned promotion to the Championship through the playoffs, will benefit from his experience. Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson expressed his best wishes for Hardie's return to first-team football.
Hardie will be unavailable to play against his parent club, Wrexham. The Red Dragons are actively pursuing new signings in the transfer window, with a club-record move for Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson reportedly close. Wrexham also intends to strengthen their squad with a center back and another attacker.
