Speculation about their relationship had been mounting throughout the 2025 season due to their frequent online interactions. Rivers, a rookie, and Mabrey, a veteran, initially presented a senior-junior dynamic, but their Valentine's Day reveal has put those assumptions to rest.
Both players are currently competing in the Unrivaled league, though on opposing teams. Mabrey excels for the Lunar Owls, leading the league in scoring with 26.8 points per game. Rivers plays for Vinyl BC, averaging 5.7 points per game and appearing in most of their games.
Rivers recently expressed gratitude for the relationships she has built, sharing a heartfelt Instagram post. Mabrey responded to Rivers' post, indicating continued support despite their participation in separate Unrivaled events and Mabrey's recovery from an injury.
