Wisconsin Center Nolan Winter Eyes 2027 NBA Draft

The Wisconsin Badgers have begun their 2026-27 season with a 2-0 record under coach Greg Gard. A significant factor for the team's success this season is expected to be center Nolan Winter.

Winter, a 7-footer in his fourth season, had a breakout performance in the 2025-26 season, averaging 13.1 points and 8.5 rebounds. Despite the team's early exit from the NCAA Tournament, Winter's individual play has garnered attention.

In his season debut, Winter recorded six points, two blocks, four assists, and 14 rebounds. His skills have earned him a spot in Bleacher Report's latest mock draft, where he is projected as a second-round pick, number 51 overall, by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Analysts note Winter's shooting ability, including strong percentages on rolls and pick-and-pops, and his capacity to make over 30 threes per season. While he may need to improve his rim protection, his size and fluidity position him as a versatile stretch forward/center.
