Montee Ball Predicts Big Things for 2026 Badgers

In their recent matchup against Notre Dame, the Wisconsin football team displayed moments of its characteristic defensive intensity and methodical offense, despite a eventual significant loss. While the final score favored Notre Dame heavily, the Badgers' performance in the first half showcased a physical demeanor and progress at the line of scrimmage, according to many observers.

Badgers legend Montee Ball voiced strong optimism for the 2026 season, predicting a "really good Wisconsin football team" and encouraging players and fans alike. Head coach Luke Fickell, speaking after the game, echoed this sentiment, acknowledging the team's collapse in the second half but praising the fight he witnessed and expressing belief in the team's future.

Determining the team's true potential remains premature. Success for the Badgers in the upcoming seasons hinges on continued offensive line development, improved secondary play, and sustained defensive front seven dominance. Quarterback Colton Joseph's growth and offensive consistency under Jeff Grimes are also critical factors for a successful turnaround.
