Wisconsin Basketball Returns to Coaches Poll at No. 25

Wisconsin's men's basketball team has climbed back into the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, earning the No. 25 spot. This ranking reflects a significant turnaround for the Badgers, who have achieved an impressive record of nine wins in their last eleven games. Their recent performance includes notable back-to-back victories over highly ranked opponents: No. 8 Illinois and No. 10 Michigan State.

The team's current standing of 18-7 overall, with a 10-4 record in the Big Ten, marks a substantial improvement from their early January performance. After a disappointing 9-4 start, Wisconsin has demonstrated peak form at a crucial time in the season. With a challenging schedule ahead, including games against Ohio State, Iowa, Oregon, Washington, Maryland, and No. 7 Purdue, continued strong play is expected to solidify their position in postseason tournaments.
