Kansas State's men's basketball team is seeing another player depart as junior guard Abdi Bashir Jr. has entered the transfer portal. This marks the fourth player to leave the program this season. Bashir Jr. spent only one season with the Wildcats, making a significant impact with his scoring.
During the 2025-26 season, Bashir Jr. averaged 13.2 points per game and shot an impressive 44% from three-point range. Unfortunately, his season was curtailed in January after undergoing surgery for a stress fracture in his foot, and he did not return to play. His final game was on January 17th against Oklahoma State. He joins fellow Wildcats David Castillo, Stephen Osei, and Exavier Wilson in entering the transfer portal.
