"White Steve" Earns Praise and Nickname with Buffalo Bills

As of August 8th, 2025, undrafted wide receiver Stephen Gosnell has been turning heads with the Buffalo Bills during the team's offseason activities. Gosnell, who went undrafted out of Virginia Tech, got off to a hot start in training camp when he hauled in a deep touchdown pass from quarterback Josh Allen.
Since then, Gosnell has continued to impress his teammates and earn the trust of offensive coordinator Joe Brady. In fact, Brady has even given Gosnell a unique nickname - "White Steve" - to acknowledge his consistent performance and attention to detail.
The rest of the Bills' receiving corps has embraced the nickname, with rookie Khalil Shakir explaining that it's fitting since Gosnell is the only white receiver in the group. While Gosnell may be playing a crowded position, his strong offseason showing could make him too valuable for the Bills to expose to waivers if they try to sneak him onto the practice squad.
