West Virginia University's football program continues its offseason roster adjustments by adding tight end Cam Ball from Mississippi State via the NCAA Transfer Portal. This move brings an experienced player to Morgantown, having spent the past two seasons competing in the highly competitive Southeastern Conference.
During his redshirt junior year at Mississippi State, Ball participated in 12 games, making four starts. He recorded two receptions for 12 yards and made his first career start against Texas A&M. In 2024, he played in all 12 games, primarily contributing on special teams while also seeing limited offensive snaps.
Ball began his collegiate journey at Buffalo, where he appeared in 10 games with six starts, accumulating eight receptions for 82 yards. His longest reception was 32 yards. He now joins West Virginia with one year of eligibility remaining.
