Victor Wembanyama is eagerly anticipating the San Antonio Spurs' season-opening matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Speaking on Monday ahead of the game, Wembanyama emphasized his enthusiasm for facing a high-caliber opponent like the Thunder. He stated that competing against "very good people" signifies the team's progress and their elevated standing.
The Spurs, however, will be missing a key player as forward Tobias Harris is sidelined for the season opener due to an injury. Notwithstanding Harris's absence, DraftKings Sportsbook lists the Spurs as -2.5-point favorites. This betting line underscores the significant faith oddsmakers place in the Spurs, bolstered by their strong performance last season and the continued development of their young stars.
