Two Welsh golfers, Luca Thompson and Ffion Tynan, have officially earned their spots on the Ladies European Tour (LET) for the 2026 season. The pair successfully navigated the challenging Final Qualifying School in Morocco, a crucial step in their professional careers. Thompson, aged 23, secured 30th place, while 22-year-old Tynan achieved a top 50 finish after countback in the final round.
Their performances at the qualifying school have granted them category 16 status on the LET. This designation ensures they will have opportunities to compete in a significant number of tour events throughout the upcoming season. This marks a pivotal moment as both golfers transition from their amateur careers to professional golf.
Representing Wales in their golfing journeys, Thompson has Pavenham Park as her home club but competes for Wales due to her father's Pembrokeshire heritage. Tynan, a long-standing member of the Pyle and Kenfig club, has been a part of Wales Golf squads for over a decade. Wales Golf expressed their congratulations and anticipation for the duo's future success on the tour.
