The Washington Huskies have extended a scholarship offer to Josiah Rose, a highly touted five-star recruit from the 2028 class. Rose, a 6-foot-3 combo guard from Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy, is currently ranked as the No. 25 overall prospect and the No. 4 combo guard nationally according to 247Sports' Composite rankings.
Rose's recent accolades include selection for Team USA's U17 squad, with training set to commence next month in Colorado Springs. This follows a standout sophomore season where he averaged 15.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. His recruitment is heating up, with Virginia recently extending an offer, joining previous offers from Indiana, Kansas, and Louisville.
The Huskies' interest in Rose aligns with third-year coach Danny Sprinkle's strategy of balancing recruitment from high school ranks with the utilization of transfers and international players. This approach aims to supplement the current roster, which features a mix of freshman signees, international talent, and transfers for the upcoming season.
