Washington running back Jordan Washington sustained a significant neck injury on April 4, requiring ambulance transport from Husky Stadium. As a result, the sophomore will miss all remaining spring practices and will be re-evaluated in the summer. Coach Jedd Fisch noted that removing his neck brace is the first step in his recovery process.
In other injury news, senior safety C.J. Christian has been ruled out for the entire 2026 season. Christian suffered an Achilles injury while rehabilitating from a previous ailment. He previously played one game last season and missed much of it due to injury.
Washington's leading returning rusher among running backs, Jordan Washington, ran for 233 yards in 2025. Despite these setbacks, Coach Fisch remains optimistic about the team's running back depth, mentioning redshirt freshman Quaid Carr, senior Trey Cooley, and senior Jayden Limar as capable options.
