Warriors' Wiggins Reunion Dreams Fading Fast
30 Jan
Summary
- Warriors interest in Andrew Wiggins reunion is unlikely this season.
- Team sources dismiss any plans to engage Miami about Wiggins.
- Trade market offers limited options if Antetokounmpo isn't acquired.
The Golden State Warriors are reportedly facing a tough trade landscape, especially if they do not secure Giannis Antetokounmpo. Reuniting with Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins, a former No. 1 pick familiar with the team's system, is unlikely to materialize this season.
Team sources have reportedly stated that Golden State has not engaged and does not plan to engage with Miami regarding a Wiggins reunion. While the Warriors have shown interest in players like Trey Murphy III, New Orleans has been unwilling to part with their young core. This suggests limited options for the Warriors if they aim to significantly bolster their roster before the trade deadline.
