Wantaway Winger Garnacho Threatens United Bench Stint Amid Chelsea Interest

As of August 18th, 2025, Alejandro Garnacho, the Manchester United winger, is embroiled in a transfer saga that has divided the club's supporters. Garnacho, who was placed in United's 'bomb squad' at the start of the summer, is now seeking an escape from Old Trafford ahead of what promises to be a season permanently on the sidelines.

Chelsea have now stepped up talks with Manchester United over a potential move for Garnacho, having already agreed personal terms with the player. The Blues' hierarchy have no concerns over his character and negotiations over Garnacho's exit fee are underway.
