Hokies Aim for 5-1 as They Clash with Struggling Cal

Virginia Tech football is set to face Cal in Berkeley, California, tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. ET. The Hokies are aiming to achieve a 5-1 record, which would be their first such start to a season since 2017. This matchup presents an opportunity for Virginia Tech to rebound after a disappointing loss to Pitt.

Cal's defense has shown significant struggles, particularly against the run, ranking last in the ACC in rushing yards allowed per game. This weakness is seen as a potential advantage for the Hokies' running game. Furthermore, Cal faces uncertainty regarding the availability of key offensive players, including quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele and running back Adam Mohammed, which could limit their offensive capabilities against Virginia Tech's superior talent.
