The Spanish club is keen to bolster its attacking prowess, identifying the 28-year-old Senegalese international as a priority due to his speed, directness, and goal output.

Sarr's profile aligns with Villarreal's tactical needs, offering pace in transitions and one-on-one capabilities. This season, he has contributed 7 goals and 1 assist in 20 Premier League matches. Villarreal sees him as a player who can stretch defenses and create scoring opportunities.
