Vikings Eyeing Shocking Colts RB & QB Trade
8 Nov
Summary
- Vikings reportedly interested in both Taylor and Jones.
- Running game struggles prompted need for reinforcements.
- Colts could gain a first-round pick for a package deal.
The Minnesota Vikings have reportedly set their sights on acquiring both running back Jonathan Taylor and quarterback Daniel Jones from the Indianapolis Colts. Prior to Week 8, the Vikings were linked to Taylor, but Jones has emerged as another potential target.
The team's offensive struggles, particularly in the running game, have made these acquisitions a pressing need. In their recent loss to the Lions, Vikings running backs Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones recorded minimal yardage on limited carries.
For the Colts, a package deal involving both players could be more lucrative than trading them separately. This strategy might allow Indianapolis to secure a coveted first-round draft pick, which they may not achieve by trading Taylor alone.
