27 Oct

Summary

Vidarbha batters Shorey and Malewar built an unbeaten 93-run partnership.
Nachiket Bhute took five wickets for 48 runs, ending Goa's innings.
Vidarbha reached 217 for three, trailing Goa by just three runs.

Vidarbha's batting lineup frustrated Goa on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match, concluding at 217 for three. Dhruv Shorey (63*) and Danish Malewar (51*) forged an unbroken 93-run partnership to inch closer to Goa's first-innings total.

Earlier, Vidarbha's bowlers, led by Nachiket Bhute's five-wicket haul (48 runs), wrapped up Goa's innings for 220. Yash Kasvankar was Goa's top scorer with an unbeaten 63.

In response, Vidarbha lost early wickets, but half-centuries from R. Samarth (53) and the subsequent stand between Shorey and Malewar steadied the innings. The hosts now trail by just three runs with seven wickets in hand.
