Victor Perez of France has officially departed the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf, marking the first such move of the year. The league announced on Tuesday that Perez will be a member of the Cleeks Golf Club starting in the 2026 season. This transition signifies a notable shift for the French golfer, who previously held joint membership on the PGA Tour and European tour.
Perez's decision to join LIV Golf follows his withdrawal from the RSM Classic. He will replace Frederik Kjettrup, who was removed from LIV Golf due to not finishing within the top 48 on the points list. Perez's move comes as he was in danger of losing his PGA Tour card, ranked No. 108 in the FedEx Cup.
"Joining Cleeks Golf Club for the 2026 season feels like joining golf's next great chapter," Perez stated, highlighting the club's innovative approach. The Cleeks are captained by Martin Kaymer and include players like Adrian Meronk and Richard Bland, indicating a strong lineup for the upcoming season.
