The Victor Blue Devils football team stands at 2-0 as of September 10, 2026, following a decisive 21-0 shutout victory against Spencerport. Victor's defense anchored the win, providing a strong foundation as the offense found its rhythm.
Junior quarterback Eli Ricci ignited Victor's scoring with a 20-yard touchdown run late in the first half, breaking a scoreless tie. In the fourth quarter, he extended the lead with a 19-yard touchdown pass to DeShae Nelson, after Carter Abbate had scored a crucial third-quarter rushing touchdown. The team's strong defensive performance included a key interception by Antonio Martinez early in the second half, maintaining momentum.
This early season success follows a 25-13 win over Penfield on September 3, 2026. The Blue Devils now face a demanding stretch of games against top-ranked Class A1 contenders, including Hilton, Webster Schroeder, Pittsford, and Rush-Henrietta. These matchups will be critical in assessing Victor's readiness to compete for a Section V championship, a title they have not won in ten years.
