Summary
- Steelers activate starting left guard Isaac Seumalo from NFI list
- Seumalo signed a 3-year, $24 million deal with Steelers in 2023
- Earned first Pro Bowl nod in 2024 after returning from pectoral injury

In a positive development for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team has announced that starting left guard Isaac Seumalo has been activated off the Active/Non-Football Injury (NFI) list. Seumalo, who signed a 3-year, $24 million contract with the Steelers as a free agent prior to the 2023 season, had been placed on the list with a soft tissue injury at the start of training camp last month.
The 27-year-old Seumalo played in all 17 games for the Steelers in his first year with the team in 2023. However, he missed the first four games of the 2024 campaign after sustaining a pectoral injury during a practice session in late August. Seumalo would eventually return in Week 5 and go on to appear in the team's remaining 13 games, earning the first Pro Bowl selection of his career.
Seumalo, a Super Bowl champion with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017, was selected in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Eagles before joining the Steelers last year. His return to the lineup will be a significant boost for the Steelers as they look to build on their success from the previous season and make a deep playoff run in 2024.
