Summary
- Kenny Clark traded to Cowboys from Packers in deal involving Micah Parsons
- Clark focused on new teammates, welcomed by Cowboys players and coaches
- Cowboys defense ranks among worst in NFL, Clark aims to improve run defense

In a major offseason move, the Dallas Cowboys acquired veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark in a trade with the Green Bay Packers just a week before the 2025 NFL season. The blockbuster deal sent star linebacker Micah Parsons to the Packers, but the Cowboys were able to secure a steadying influence for their struggling defense.
Clark, a three-time Pro Bowler, had to quickly adjust to his new team and division rival after spending the first nine seasons of his career in Green Bay. However, the 30-year-old has embraced the challenge, focusing on his new teammates and the task at hand.
"Like I said weeks before, everybody's just been welcoming me," Clark said. "I'm all about the people. And the people here have been great. My teammates have been great. That's all you can ask for."
The Cowboys' defense has been one of the league's worst so far this season, ranking 29th against the run. Clark's arrival is expected to help shore up the interior of the defensive line and provide a steadying presence for the unit. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the team wouldn't have made the trade without Clark, as they sought to improve their persistently subpar run defense.
"I'm here now and blessed and excited to be here, just trying to do my best to help this team win football games and just keep getting better," Clark said.
