Veteran Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has returned to India with his family after a prolonged vacation. The 38-year-old was last seen in action during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, where he represented the Mumbai Indians (MI) and scored 418 runs in 15 matches.
Shortly after the tournament concluded, Sharma left for a vacation, enjoying his time in Dubai, Italy, and Switzerland before spending a considerable period in London. During his stay in the UK, he was spotted in the stands on Day 3 of the fifth Test between India and England, where the visitors clinched a thrilling six-run victory, ending the series in a 2-2 draw.
Notably, Sharma has now shifted his focus solely to the ODI format at the international level, where he has amassed 11,168 runs in 273 matches. Recently, the experienced batter mentored young pacer Harshit Rana, who earned his maiden ODI call-up during the 2024 Sri Lanka series. Rana, who was also a member of the India squad that lifted the 2025 Champions Trophy under Sharma's leadership, spoke highly of the veteran's guidance, stating that he spent 20-25 minutes explaining valuable insights that left a lasting impression.
