Vancouver, B.C. – Forward Chase Wouters has officially agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with the Vancouver Canucks. General Manager Ryan Johnson highlighted Wouters' strong work ethic, detail-oriented approach, and leadership qualities.
Wouters, who is 26 years old, has played his entire professional career with the Abbotsford Canucks since their inaugural season in 2021-22. He has served as the team's captain since 2022 and holds franchise records for most games played (338) and playoff games played (38).
Last season, Wouters recorded 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 70 games for Abbotsford. In 338 career AHL games, he has accumulated 120 points (43 goals, 77 assists). Notably, he led Abbotsford to their first Calder Cup championship in 2025 during a historic playoff run.
Additionally, Wouters has been recognized for his significant community involvement, receiving the Abbotsford Canucks' "Man of the Year Award" four times. He has also represented Canada internationally, including at the 2018 U18 World Championships.
