Umar Nurmagomedov Dominates Figueiredo, Eyes Bantamweight Title

Umar Nurmagomedov is making a strong case for a bantamweight title shot following his dominant performance at UFC 324. He decisively defeated former two-time flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo via unanimous decision. Throughout the fight, Nurmagomedov showcased superior striking and grappling, controlling the pace and dictating the action.

Despite the clear victory, questions may linger about Nurmagomedov's inability to finish the fight, especially as a significant betting favorite. Figueiredo, who missed weight for the bout, offered limited offense. Nurmagomedov, now 20-1, continues to be a top contender in the division, keeping pace with Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili in the race for a title shot against Petr Yan.
