A late 9-0 run and a Tarris Reed Jr. putback tied the game at 89, forcing overtime. Freshman Braylon Mullins, who scored a career-high 24 points, was instrumental in the extra period, netting eight points to help secure the win.
Silas Demary Jr. also delivered a significant performance with 23 points, 15 assists, and five steals. Despite being outscored significantly in bench points, UConn's strong shooting from beyond the arc, making 18 of 32 attempts, proved crucial.
